Its February and that means Softball Season is about to begin! Saratoga Miss Softball is excited to celebrate its 51st year and we are excited to have your family be part of it. There is lots of information below, please read on to learn more about what to expect this season.

 Evaluations:

This day is highly important because the players are going to be able to showcase their skills to the coaches. It is important to have a balance season and the evaluations will allow the league to make the season fair and fun.  This is an opportunity for the parents to ask questions and learn more about the league and the sport of softball.

There are 2 dates available. We require every A & AA player to attend one of the sessions below. Players must wear sneakers and have their glove and facemask. 

Ø  Session 1: March 15th 9-12pm

Ø  Session 2: March 16th 1-4pm

The Evaluations will be held in the Blue Gym at the Saratoga Springs High School on both days.

 

Equipment Swap

Bring all your used softball gear to evaluations and take a look at what is offered.

Opening Day

Saturday May 5th – Exact time TBD. Looking for a few folks to help plan Opening Day.

 

Volunteering

There is a $50 Volunteer refundable deposit that will be automatically added at checkout. This will be reimbursed once you have completed a 2-hr volunteer slot. Once the field schedule is released, we will notify all registered families of their time slot. Once shift is completed reimbursement will be made the following week. All coaches will have their deposits return at the start of the season.

Our organization is 100% volunteer. We need folks to help with season management. We are asking for someone to STEP UP and help us out with planning evaluations and develop the draft.

The following dates require attendance by all coaches:

Ø  Evaluations –  March 15th (9 - 12pm) & 16th (1pm - 4pm)

Ø  Coach the Coaches event - March 23 from 12:30pm – 3:30pm at the Saratoga Library (Dutcher Community room).

Ø  Draft – March 25th from 6pm – 9pm at the Brick @ 2West.

Saratoga Miss Softball

The league is getting ready to plan the recreation season for Spring 2025 but we ran into a problem. We do not have the necessary volunteers to make the season possible. This is where you come in. We are hoping we can recruit team of volunteers to help with the planning and running the season. 

Communications; Draft;  End of Year Planning ; Evaluations;  Field Prep; Opening Day Planning; Overseeing Game Day; Rostering; Scheduling; Social Media; Volunteer Organizing; Website

We will be scheduling a meeting during the last week of January to discuss. Please let us know if your interested We can sort out responsibility and set milestones to move the season forward.
